Tomorrow Today Foundation has provided a grant of $13,000 to support the creation of Benalla’s new adventure playground.
Some years ago the Foundation helped with fundraising for the Crossing Place Project, which supported major improvements in the Botanical Gardens and around the Lake. This grant was the last of these funds, held in trust for a suitable project.
“The redevelopment of the Children’s precinct is a significant advance for our much-loved Gardens,” said Sally Gamble, Chair of Tomorrow Today. “We’re very pleased to be able to contribute these funds to upgrading an area that is so well used by locals and visitors alike.”
Some of the families from Tomorrow Today’s PEEP (Parents Early Education Partnership) program recently rugged up for an active start to the day.
“It’s great to see the children enjoying the new playground,” Ms Gamble said. “Testing their balance and using their imagination in the nature based play areas, as well as enjoying the more traditional swings and slides.”
