Former Benalla P-12 College student Daniel Gillespie’s dream of working in the field of Sports Leadership is becoming a reality, thanks to his hard work and with the support of Tomorrow Today.

Daniel completed Year 12 in 2020 and was accepted into a Diploma of Sport and Leadership and Management at the Richmond Institute of Sport and Leadership based at Swinburne University in Albury.

Tomorrow Today knows that the costs involved in attending university can be a barrier for many students. They offer four $1000 university scholarships annually; two at Benalla P-12 College and two at FCJ College. “We love being able to assist local students to go on to further study at university,” said Rosie Koop, Executive Officer. “It was great to meet Daniel recently. He’s clearly thrilled to be at Uni. We’re so grateful to all the local people who make opportunities like this possible for our young people through their generous donations.”

Daniel was exuberant: “The support provided through this scholarship has just been phenomenal,” said Daniel. “Having money available to pay for public transport and university supplies has been a massive relief. It has meant I can truly focus on my studies.”

Applications for the Tomorrow Today University Scholarships open in November 2021.
