NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to celebrate and recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, history and achievements, participating and contributing to the oldest continuous living cultures on earth.
This NAIDOC Week we will be joining Benalla’s official celebrations on Tuesday 7 July. There’s lots happening around town starting with the flag raising at 10.30am at Council’s Mair St Civic Centre, followed by a Welcome to Country and family friendly activities from 11am at the Glasshouse.

Creative pieces from our Anganya students will form part of the NAIDOC 2026 exhibition at Benalla Art Gallery’s pop-up venue on Bridge St East. We’re delighted to see their work included in this community art exhibition that showcases First Nations artists from across our region.
