Benalla students will have an opportunity to get hands-on career advice in an exciting setting in August. Preparations are well under way for the annual Hands-On Trade Careers Expo at Winton Motor Raceway. The Expo attracts up to 1400 senior secondary school students from across the northeast and Goulburn Valley.
At the event, local businesses provide an exhibit with a hands-on experience.
NE Tracks LLEN Chief Executive Officer Tim Oliver said students attending the expo get to learn more about the career opportunities that businesses and industries provide in the local region.
“Demonstrating an activity at the expo often leads to work experience and other placements, including school-based apprenticeships,” Mr. Oliver said.
“This is a great way for employers to make an initial connection with the workforce of the future.”
The expo is delivered by NE Tracks LLEN with support from the Tomorrow Today Foundation, other local sponsors and the Victorian Government Department of Education.
It will take place on August 10 at Winton Motor Raceway.
Businesses are asked to register via www.netracksllen.org.au/events/hands-on-trades-career-expo-2023 to be an exhibitor and sponsor by July 12.
