Did you know that since 2003, Tomorrow Today has been supporting great community projects through its annual grants program?
Community gardens, after-school programs, learning supports, playgroups, community well-being programs, artistic groups and technology projects have all benefited from almost $400,000 in funding. Around 75 local organisations across all demographics, have received grants for projects that support and improve community connection and educational outcomes.
The 2024 round of the Tomorrow Today community grants program open on Monday 12 February and will close on 25 March. Grants of up to $5,000 are available to groups and organisations for projects which will build skills, encourage connections, and improve the wellbeing of Benalla’s residents.
Executive Officer, Jodie Fleming shared more about the program. “The Tomorrow Today grants program supports projects which benefit our community as a whole, not just children and young people. We want to help local organisations make Benalla an even better place to live for everyone.”
“Money donated to our Community Fund is invested so that we can continue to offer grants year after year. In the last 20 years we’ve supported more than 150 local projects; and we’re keen to hear from other local groups. So, if your community project needs some funding to help get it off the ground or you have a great idea but need to find a way to make it happen, please get in touch with us so we so we can help you to apply or provide other support. Even if you are unsure whether your idea fits our criteria, we’d love to chat with you.”
