Education Benalla Program Manager, Sally Matheson (L) and Tomorrow Today Business Manager, Robyn Saunders (R), welcomed new Executive Officer Jodie Fleming (centre) to the Tomorrow Today team this week.

It was a bittersweet week at Benalla’s community foundation, Tomorrow Today, as staff farewelled Executive Officer, Rosie Koop and welcomed a new member to the team.

Rosie has been the face of Tomorrow Today for almost four years, successfully steering the organisation through COVID and the many hurdles it presented. Board Chair, Louise Pearce was appreciative of Rosie’s leadership, “The board and staff wish Rosie all the best with her future endeavours and thank her for her thoughtful and compassionate leadership through what has been a challenging period for the world, not just Benalla.”

Rosie reflected on her time at the helm, “My decision to leave Tomorrow Today has been a difficult one. I have loved my time here. It is a very special organisation, doing important community development work thoughtfully, strategically and collaboratively. I will miss our team of kind, skilled and determined women, and the stimulation and guidance of our Board. I have no doubt that Tomorrow Today will continue to flourish under new leadership.”

After an extensive search, Jodie Fleming was appointed as Executive Officer. Jodie lives in nearby Dookie and has many years of experience in community engagement in the Goulburn Valley. Board chair Louise Pearce welcomed Jodie to the position; “I know I speak for all board members and staff when I say, we are thrilled to welcome Jodie to Tomorrow Today. We believe her skills and knowledge will help Tomorrow Today through the years ahead.”

Jodie was enthusiastic about her new position, “It is not often a role like this becomes available and it is one I have been searching for, for quite some time. I cannot think of anything more fulfilling than being part of the Tomorrow Today team and working toward a brighter future for the Benalla community.”
